I have not heard any stories about it being haunted but it would not surprise me if it were. It seems that navy personel seem to stick close to their ships...I can do some research and see what comes up.

Since you guys are more in tune with haunted locations...have anyone heard if the USS Intrepid, which is now a museum in NYC, is haunted? Yes, I know I live here but never heard of any stories about it. I would say that it would have activity due to its WWII service and several Kamikaze attacks.

That is amazing. Both that she said candy and that the production people added something that wsn't there.

Digital camera or film is a hard Q. Digital seems to pick up orbs ALOT more than film...which makes me wonder even more about orbs. Digital is just as hard to fake as film in that you need to either set up the hoax in advance or use a program like photoshop...both of which are fairly easy to spot. I like a digital voice recorder due to cost and ease...however tape gets good results due to its inherent white noise but the quality suffers for the same reason, ditto cheap digital. As far as the negative? yes it could help prove non hoax but you still have the "set up" angle to over come.

Just an FYI Rich...all of the footage for the show was shot by me and Bob on a trip to get "stock" QM footage for when we need it. The show put the footage and the audio together to suit their needs. What Jackie actually says at that point is "candy" which was really creepy because I was reaching into my pocket to get a piece of hard candy for my throat. There is no way she could have seen the candy because I hadn't pulled it out yet. They put "mommy" in there because...

Occasionally I have a thought and like to discuss it....lol. Now the question I have is...digital recorders vs film or even tape. (showing my age here). I know that for fast turn around time in reviewing evidence (and cost effectiveness) digital is the way to go. Now when a good piece of evidence is found and recorded would it be easier to prove non-staging of the event when there is a negative involved so as to show that nothing was added?
Now since I am not that technical I'm sure there are ways to tell that with digital equipment. |

I hope you didn't think I asked what I asked implying any type of fraud on anyones part. I am not familiar with the aspects of the Queen Mary and merely asked about whether it was a reenactment or actual footage because I know that shows like to include them for what ever reasons. And I never did see any footage from investigations so I wanted to clear that up for my part.
Oh and it was creepy... |
